I've been keeping pretty busy lately these past couple of weeks.
Can you tell? All last week I was studying for two midterms and was plenty busy at work giving me no time to breathe. But now that I have a chance, I wanted to fill you in on some updates.
First, I've got a new personal blog which can be found at
xoxoChelly. I want to blog more about my life but I also want to keep my paper crafts separate so I've decided to make two separate blogs.
I also plan to enter more challenges. I will browse around ever so often to find different challenges to get my creative juices flowing! Hopefully you can join me!
Last but not least, in case you still don't have a
Cricut yet, please head over to your local
Michael's store and see if they are on sale. My boyfriend and I went yesterday to window shop and to our surprise the
Cricut was on sale for
$299.99! Yes
$299.99!! Well, like an addict that I am, we ended up buying it and a few other supplies. Boy, was I excited to open it up last night! So excited I decided to join the fun at
Mojo Monday. Here is my take on Mojo 75:

I'm excited to be able to join in on these challenges. They're alot of fun and I'm happy to have more supplies! Hope you all enjoy!

Cuttlebug Challenge #18

Here is a birthday card I made for an unlce's birthday. He enjoys golfing so I thought this would be a perfect fit. There were plenty of other ideas that popped in my head but so little time to actually execute the ideas.
Please join
Cuttlebug Challenge #18!

Deloris sent the group another challenge in the mail. This one was a bit harder than last! But it definitely got my creative juices flowing! She sent the little blue circular things on the right. She actually sent a few in different colors, but I like the blue the best =) Those stamps are also the ones she sent me in the mail! I love them! Also, you probably can't tell in this picture but the stamped images are embossed! I bought a heat gun and some clear embossing powder a few weeks ago and fell in love with the look! Now I try to incorporate it into every project I do!
Enjoy!

Since there are a few co-worker's birthdays coming up, I thought I would try out the cupcake card that I found on
Linsey's blog. She did such an amazing job on her cupcakes, it inspired me to make some of my own. I don't have much cardstock or decorative paper on hand so I improvised a little. With the pink card, I used a white cardstock and I printed it brown and cut out only the base of the cupcake. I used another white piece of cardstock and printed it pink and cut out the top of the cupcake and assembled and embellished. With the blue card, I used a white cardstock and cut the base, the brown printed cardstock for the "baking cup", and last but not least a blue printed cardstock for the cupcake top. I stamped both with happy birthday in the inside and I plan to sit the cards on top of their desks instead of putting them in envelopes. This card was so easy and so much fun to make!
Enjoy!

I made this birthday card for my boss. I definitely wish I had more stamps. I'm addicted! Hopefully I can buy some more soon. Right now I have two alpha sets, a swirl type stamp and some sentiment stamps.
Too bad they shut down Recollections, I really enjoyed going there and finding all types of scrapbooking ideas. The nearest scrapbook store is maybe 20 miles from me. Although, I could go to Michaels, Target or Walmart...I just wish there were stores specific to scrapbooking and cardmaking.
Enjoy the card!
